Question by living eyes: What insurance company began as a way to gather information on people?
I heard once that an insurance company was began as a guise to collect information and statistics about people. I can’t remember which company it was, though! I thought it was Progressive, but I haven’t been able to find any info on this. Does anyone know?

Not progressive.

I think it’s the Social Security Insurance Program . . .that’s the closest I can think of, and, of course, it’s a government run insurance program.
