Just found out that they will be raising it $ 100/mo. for smokers, “who voluntarily indicate that they use tobacco products”. Am I legally bound to tell the truth when my yearly health benefit enrollment comes up next month?

Answer by Diane A Yes. There are no laws prohibiting insurances from raising rates for all kinds of things & if you are found to have lied on any part of the application, they will more than likely cancel your insurance.

Answer by Raych Your insurance could be slightly effected, but yes the ticket still counts- just because you were in a different state doesn’t mean you aren’t still responsible for the ticket. The wreckless driving may affect your insurance more than an average speeding ticket. Every ticket you affects the points on your license. Defensive driving may reduce the initial affect on your insurance but it depends on how many priors you have.

Hello, my fiance and i are trying to open a regular savings account together to save for our wedding but there is one problem, he and has family were told that his father’s life insurance agency would add the value of the account to their total and that the rate for the life insurance would go up. I think this is all wrong because it’s not like he is getting another source of income, he is just putting his money aside in another account. To me this also means that he couldn’t open a credit card account or anything because if that was true, those accounts would interfere as well. He has been able to open several credit card accounts without a problem. Please tell me i’m right. Could opening a joint savings account with me affect the rate of his father’s life insurance?

Question by John D: Will my insurance rate go up alot if I finance a second vehicle?
I’m sure someone here has been through this. I have full coverage on my financed vehicle and i want to buy another vehicle of roughly the same value. Personally I don’t think my rate should skyrocket, i mean i can only drive one at a time right? thanks in advance

I was wondering what the insurance on a 2007 2.0L audi A3 would be. we curently have a $ 137 monthly payment with a 2006 Volkswagen Touareg V6, 2001 Ford Sport Trac and a 2001 Dodge Intrepid (my car).

Answer by mbrcatz Assuming full coverage, you’ll likely be paying upwards of $ 900 a month for the insurance on that car. And I don’t believe you’re paying that little for three cars and a teen driver. Even if it’s “minimum liability”. I’d suspect the teen isn’t listed on the policy.
