Question by Obsessed VQ and L28 Fan: Car Insurance for a 16 year old in California?
I am gonna get either a Used 03-04 Nissan 350z and would like to get a rough estimate of how much insurance is gonna cost. Thanks in advance. Also what would happen to my insurance if the car is on a salvage title?

your 16 and your gonna get a 350z?
lets put it this way…

i drive a 98 honda prelude. i was added on insurance when i was 17 and for liability only, my parents insurance went up $ 600ish a year. for full coverage their insurance increased almost $ 1,000. On a 350z, at the age of 16, just know its probably going to be upwards of $ 800 a year on top of your parents existing insurance. (and that may be liability only)

also, if your car is salvaged title, most car insurance companies wont do more than liability coverage. This means that in the event that you hit someone else, your insurance pays for the damage to the car you hit, but you pay for the damage you did to your own car because that isn’t covered for a salvaged.

Can you have car insurance in a different name than the title?

Question by Mike: Can you have car insurance in a different name than the title?
I have never had car insurance in my name before and I am 20 so I am getting quoted from every company for at least 300 a month. The car i’m planning on buying is a 2007-2010 mazdaspeed3. Would I be able to have the car insurance in my fathers name while the title of the car is under my name?
Or what if the title of the car was in both my father and my name would that make a difference on the cost of insurance.

Yes you can, despite what so many people mistakenly believe, all anyone needs to insure any vehicle is to have an “insurable interest” in that vehicle……. but….and This is a big “but”…. if you are/will be the principal driver, you would be committing insurance fraud if you do this. DON’T play games with insurance companies !

I attend school in a different state from my parents and would like to register my car in the state my school is in. My parents are willing to pay for my car insurance until I get out of college. Will the insurance company insure the car since it is in a different state? Does this vary by insurance company? Thanks

I plan on getting my own car insurance and moving out but my parents need my new living address and I don’t wanna give it to them cause I don’t want them knowing where i’m going to be living. Does the insurance require this type of information to remove my name?

Q&A: How much is car insurance for a car with an antique tag?

Posted by in Wednesday, April 11th 2012

Question by ROFLsaucer: How much is car insurance for a car with an antique tag?
Im thinking of buying an antique car but im not even quite sure how the insurance and registration works.

I live in florida im not sure if it varies per state.

Best answer:

Answer by David W
It works just like regular car insurance, but you’re generally limited to driving to/from shows and parades and in them. If you want physical damage (comp/collision) coverage, you may need an appraisal.

Check Google for “antique auto insurance” to find some web sites, or ask some owners if you attend a show.

Higher quality: www.youtube.com After watching some of NinjaxCad’s poop, I wanted to do my own version of the health insurance commercial the Oxyclean guy does. Credit goes to him for inspiration. Credit also goes to littlekuriboh for the part of Yu-Gi-Oh the Abridged Series I used in this as well.
