Best answer:

Answer by falsi fiable
That would be a crime and mean loss of license for said real estate broker and insurance agent. Sad to see some professionals don’t even know the laws they had to study to get their license.

iam.ij.org How can Americans create private sector jobs? The solution to America’s jobs problem lies not with budget-busting federally mandated “stimulus” programs. Instead, what is needed are specific reforms that wouldn’t cost taxpayers, would create a broader tax base for cash-strapped cities and states, and would provide opportunity for millions of Americans who worry where their next paycheck is coming from. As demonstrated by a series of eight new reports issued in October 2010 by the Virginia-based Institute for Justice, one of the principal obstacles to creating new jobs and entrepreneurial activity in cities across the country is the complex maze of regulations cities and states impose on small businesses. IJ’s “city study” reports are filled with real-world examples of specific restrictions that often make it impossible for entrepreneurs to create jobs for themselves, let alone for others. Chip Mellor, the president and general counsel of the Institute for Justice, said, “If the nation is looking to the federal government to create jobs in America, it is looking in the wrong place. If we want to grow our economy, we must remove government-imposed barriers to honest enterprise at the city and state levels. Remove those barriers, and you will see a return to the optimism and opportunity that are hallmarks of the American Dream.” IJ’s eight reports document how irrational and anti-competitive regulations block entrepreneurship. More often than not, these government …

Question by cliffordrbeech: Can I insure more than one limited company on one business insurance policy?
I need to know if you can have one UK business insurance policy, which includes employers liability, that covers more than one limited company. I am getting quotes for three limited companies and some insurers are happy to do ABC Ltd and/or DEF Ltd and/or GHI Ltd, whereas others are telling me that I need three separate policies (at three times the cost!). Help please……..

Best answer:

Answer by Casey Y
If the three different companies do different things, they will need different policies. If they operate independently, they will need different policies. If all three do the same thing, are operated together and have common ownership, then you should be able to insure them together.

That being said, the premium might not be big enough to justify multiple exposures on one policy.

Question by Kerrie Borboa: How can you get an Insurance Business started in this economical disaster?
Is everyone becoming an Insurance Agent now or are we the only ones left standing because of the industry that we are in? Not sure but Los Angeles, Ca is completely saturated with them and it’s making it extremely hard to build my book of business out here! Any good “unique” marketing tips?

Best answer:

Answer by car253
Everyone is required to have auto insurance. And, those homes with mortgages have to have homeowners insurance.

You do not say what kind of insurance you are selling. And, are you licensed now or are you planning to become licensed? Do you work for a company or are you independent?

Good marketing has not changed. It is going face to face to meet people. Go to religious organizations, condo associations, businesses, gyms and any other place where you can meet people and introduce yourself. You just have to market yourself.

There is no magic button. It is still old fashion hard work to get and keep customers.

Question by LynnD: where can I get cheap business insurance in CA?
I only need the insurance to qualify for a business line of credit, so the amount to insure only needs to be $ 35,000.00 (as opposed to 1 million that I keep getting quoted for a premium of at least $ 500.00

Best answer:

Answer by Zarnev
I’m not sure about CA but in my state the minimum coverage written for business insurance is $ 1M. You should check with a local independent agent that works with business insurance. If one is available in CA for less I’m sure the agent could find out.

Business insurance does not cover lines of credit, they cover you in case you are found liable. The lending company is requesting coverage not to pay back the loan but to keep you from losing all your money and declaring bankruptcy.
