Question by FiveStarResearchService: How much is the average travel trailer insurance rate?
I am interested in getting a modern (2005 +) travel trailer approx 25-28′. I wanted to know what the average rate would be to insure it. Also, is it a requirement to get it insured?
Thanks.
Please give a actual ESTIMATED rate. If I wanted an actual price, I would contact my insurace agent, but I just need an estimated rate. (California)

What cars usually have the lowest insurance rates?

Posted by in Wednesday, February 22nd 2012

Question by Jay: What cars usually have the lowest insurance rates?
I do not have the greatest driving record and am in the market for a car. I also do not have a huge budget (looking to stay under $ 10,000). I want something newer than 2000 and do not want very high insurance rates. Any ideas?

If you can buy something cash, you could get liability and not full coverage. small cars usually have cheaper insurance compared to trucks. insurance rates also depends on your zip code.

Why do insurance companies have to be part of the national health care solution?

Posted by in Wednesday, February 22nd 2012

Question by : Why do insurance companies have to be part of the national health care solution?
Insurance companies keep over 30% of your insurance premiums for themselves, which does not help you. Why not eliminate them and lower our health care costs?

Answer by Lying Republican Moron
Insurance companies are parasites and blood suckers. They only love to take in, but not to give out when they supposed to. When they sell you a policy they are so “nice” and so “kind”, once they suppose to pay covered claim they are so nasty, dishonest, act like bunch of thieves, trying to cheat you at all cause. This does not only applies to medical insurers, but to life, disability, auto, home and business insurance companies as well. Now they are being regulated by corrupt state governments. Federal Government must control and regulate all types of insurance companies.

What insurance compnay to take? Farmers or Safeco via independent insurance company?

Posted by in Wednesday, February 22nd 2012

Question by : What insurance compnay to take? Farmers or Safeco via independent insurance company?
So I need to choose whether to take Farmer’s insurance with $ 1430/year or take Safeco insurance via Independent insurance company with $ 1030. These are minimal prices for my cars with all discounts that i can get. Is there really big differences between those independent companies and farmers or safeco, Thanks in advance.

I have always thought that the independent agent has a natural advantage because they are not just representing a single company. They can present other company’s products.

Crash for cash caught on RoadHawk camera system

Posted by in Wednesday, February 22nd 2012

This is a potential “Crash for Cash” caught on camera. A lorry driver was going about his daily business when the car in front suddenly brakes causing him to collide in to the back of him. On later inspection the insurance company involved deemed the video to be suspect and handed it over to the Police. After a long investigation the police have busted a huge crash for cash ring involving over 120 incidents in the last year, possibly totalling more than £3m of insurance fraud! This clearly demonstrates the advantage of having a RoadHawk forward facing GPS black box video camera recorder to your vehicle. Police believe this to be a “decoy rear end shunt” two cars are involved. Watch the video carefully. When the lorry driver pulls in to the left hand lane the Mercedes closes the gap between itself and the car in front. The VW Golf makes a sudden turn causing the Merc to brake hard. The Golf is used as a decoy to give the Merc the excuse of having to stop quickly.

Allstate - Mayhem is coming!

Dean Winters in Allstate’s “Mayhem is coming” series of commercials. Dude’s just been one of my favorite TV actors and is great in these ads. Has this crazy Michael Madsen thing going on. Hope they do more with him… Best I can come up with for the song is Henry Mancini; possibly a section of “Experiment In Terror” or “Spook!”. Added 1-31-11: Yes, we know he was on Oz, Rescue Me, and several other shows. IMDB.com is wonderful too. And how did this get 5 dislikes? The only way to get to this is by searching specifically for it…dislike YOU! LoL…

Q&A: How does auto insurance work when you “loan” your car to another?

Posted by in Wednesday, February 22nd 2012

Question by Irv S: How does auto insurance work when you “loan” your car to another?
I have been thinking of “loaning” my car (which I own) to my 87 year old father. I would then lease a vehicle for myself. Then at the end of the lease period (let’s say 3 years) if he is no longer driving, the car returns to me. Can he purchase auto insurance on himself and the car or does it fall upon me and my policy? My father has an excellent driving record and so do I.

Best answer:

Answer by snorzle
He would need to get his own insurance for the car, or to be added onto your policy as a driver.

Either one would work, but it might be cheaper (and easier) to add him to your existing policy.

Your coverage (in most cases) would not pay for any damage done to or done by the car while Dad is driving.
